A safe place to meet the unknown.

Coaching for times of change, transition, and deeper exploration—including psychedelic preparation and integration.

You don't have to know what's next. This is a place to slow down, listen more closely, and discover what feels true for you.

Two places we can begin

For people standing between the life they have known and something not yet fully formed.

Life at a threshold

Something in my life is shifting.

You may have built a capable life and still sense that an old identity, direction, or way of living no longer fits.

  • Meet a transition without rushing to solve it
  • Explore questions of identity, purpose, and belonging
  • Listen for what feels more honest and alive

Psychedelic preparation & integration

I'm approaching an experience—or finding my way after one.

Grounded, consent-centered support for preparing carefully, understanding what arose, and carrying what matters into ordinary life.

  • Prepare without scripting an outcome
  • Make sense of what happened without imposed meaning
  • Integrate insight, uncertainty, or disappointment

Grounded coaching for times when the life you've known no longer fits clearly—and what comes next has not yet taken shape.

The approach

Less performance.
More honest contact.

This work is not about chasing a breakthrough. It is about building enough safety and self-trust to listen closely, choose deliberately, and carry what matters into ordinary life.

Ground

Slow the urgency. Understand the life around the question, notice what needs care, and build enough steadiness to be with what is actually here.

Listen

Make room for competing parts, embodied knowing, uncertainty, and truths that do not yet form a clean answer. Your inner knowing remains the authority.

Live

Turn what feels true into modest, embodied choices—in relationships, work, boundaries, and daily life—rather than dramatic declarations.

Life at a threshold

The life I've built no longer feels like the whole truth.

For capable, reflective people who have built a life that works—and are beginning to sense that it no longer feels fully like their own.

You might be questioning a role that once defined you, leaving a relationship, career, community, or worldview, reconsidering what success means, or trying to trust yourself after rupture or disillusionment. We begin with what is actually here—not with a predetermined destination.

Psychedelic preparation & integration

Before the experience—and after it.

Psychedelic experiences can bring clarity, uncertainty, beauty, disruption, or very little of what you expected. Careful support can help you approach the experience with intention and meet what follows without pressure to call it transformational.

Before the experience

I want to approach this carefully.

You're new, curious, and want an ethical container—not hype, pressure, or someone else's agenda.

  • Clarify intentions without scripting an outcome
  • Explore readiness, risks, boundaries, and support
  • Build a grounded plan for preparation and return

After the experience

The journey was profound—or it wasn't. You still need support.

You may feel opened, changed, overwhelmed, disappointed, or unsure what to do with what happened. We begin with what was real and help you carry it into ordinary life.

  • Make sense of what arose without imposing meaning
  • Find grounding when the experience still feels intense
  • Turn insight into choices and changes you can sustain
  • Meet disappointment without forcing a silver lining

Psychedelic offering

A complete journey container

For someone new to psychedelic work and working with me for the first time, the foundational offering is a 4 + 1 + 4 container: four preparation sessions, supported space for the journey itself, and four integration sessions afterward.

4 + 1 + 4preparation · journey · integration
60–75 minpreparation and integration sessions
Integrationavailable as a post-experience starting point

The structure can be customized when we have worked together before or when significant prior experience makes a different container appropriate. No substances, access, or medical advice are provided.

“From the beginning, I felt that David created a safe space where I could be honest about what I was feeling without having to perform or pretend. I felt supported and cared for while still being given the space to have my own experience and arrive at my own understanding.

The preparation and integration were just as meaningful and important to me as the journey itself. David was thoughtful, attentive, and genuinely present through every step.”

About Me

David Schwalm

I know what it is to build a successful life and still feel far from yourself.

For decades, I worked as a technology leader. I learned how easily competence, responsibility, and achievement can become an identity—and how disorienting it can be when the life you have successfully built no longer feels fully your own.

My own path has taken me through altered states, parts work, somatic practice, meditation, men's work, and sustained integration. It has also taught me that healing spaces are not automatically safe—and that good intentions are no substitute for consent, humility, clear boundaries, and accountability.

My role is not to position myself as a healer or tell you what your experience means. It is to offer grounded, ethical support as you listen to yourself, rebuild trust in what you know, and decide what becoming more fully yourself means for you.

Training & commitments

Grounded in inquiry.
Guided by clear boundaries.

I have completed Tam Integration's six-month Psychedelic Coaching Program and Fractal Inquiry training with Daniel Shankin. The training emphasized thoughtful preparation and integration, mindful and somatic practice, ethical space-holding, and questions that help clients discover their own meaning.

Coaching, with honest boundaries.

This work is coaching—not psychotherapy, psychiatric or medical care, crisis intervention, or substance facilitation. If you are in acute distress, experiencing persistent severe symptoms, or need clinical treatment, a licensed or emergency provider is the right place to begin. When something falls outside my scope, I will say so and help identify a more appropriate level of support.

Start where you are

You don't have to pretend.
You don't have to know yet.

Bring your curiosity, your doubt, or the experience you're still trying to understand.
